Why choose us?

We believe that the most efficient way of learning is through interaction and reflection with other people. Our work builds on the principle of optimal learning happens through action and mutual experiences.

In a multicultural and global world, culture is a factor that can both split and gather us as people. For newly arrived or already residing people of a different ethnicity than Danish, the action of integration and solutions tied to it can often at times have the opposite effect.

In KHRS Academy we have therefore chosen a holistic and targeted approach to the integration action.

Why choose us?

In a multicultural and global world, culture is a factor that can both split and gather us as people. For newly arrived or already residing people of a different ethnicity than Danish, the action of integration and solutions tied to it can often at times have the opposite effect.

In KHRS Academy we have therefore chosen a holistic and targeted approach to the integration action.

Our opinion is that a holistic and personally tailored language course is the best way of getting more immigrant citizens employed. As a company, we identify both the strengths and weaknesses of our participants, through industry-oriented actions. It is very important to us that the participants experience an actual development through the course.

Based on our many years of experience and interdisciplinary work with integration, we regard the following as actual issues and obstacles for successful integration:

Based on our many years of experience and interdisciplinary work with integration, we regard the following as actual issues and obstacles for successful integration:

  • Cultural differences, such as traditional gender roles and upbringing

  • Language barriers and lack of ability or motivation for learning and development

  • Societal norms such as clashes between respective societal values, as well as cultural values and/or religious beliefs

  • Poor connection to the labour market, such as lack of work identity and/or relevant experience

KHRS Academy builds on many years of work and experience with the target group of immigrants. Through this work we  have found out what works in practice in the area of  occupation and integration.
For us, there are no standard solutions when working with people. Every citizen gets an individually tailored course suited for their situation and needs. Our effective and well-developed methods consider the requirements and expectations that exists on the Nordic labour market.

The foundation of KHRS Academy is unique tools for educational, personal and linguistic upskilling, as well as the retention of our target group.

In 2016 we started offering classes  in Danish, with a focus on the language and terms of the industry, while being supported by the mother tongue of the participant. These classes are today known under the name of ” branchedansk”.  For this reason, the courses are available in the following 8 languages:

  • Arabic
  • Urdu
  • Kurmanji
  • Swahili
  • Kurdish
  • Farsi
  • Tigrinya
With the idea of looking at integration in a new way, it is our intention and goal that KHRS Academy will support the work with immigrant women and integration citizens. We do this with our knowledge of culture, traditions, family patterns, values and more. Our course takes an industry-specific approach, which means that the citizen is taught and activated in specific work-related areas, as well as the general demands and expectations that a company has to the qualifications of their employees. This makes it easier for the individual to acquire the necessary professional and linguistic qualifications, despite various barriers. We incorporate special pedagogical principles in the education of this specific target group, considering their many difficulties. Thus, the courses have a large emphasis on visual and illustrative elements, communication, body language as well as practical experience.
Through our various actions, we have succeeded in employing 111 women from MENAP-countries, including Turkey, at our company. Our experience with immigrant women is that they require additional actions and resources. We utilize a holistic approach in relation to the immigrant women, and systematically go through whatever obstacles hinder them from entering the labour market.

Methods and strategies: With the goal of employing more immigrant women, we have created models and implemented these in our actions, which has proven to be effective. The tools mentioned below have all been integrated into our courses:

• Detection

• Reporting

• Dialogue

• Progress Measurements

Specific tools for immigrant women The tools are divided into three categories, which consider the individual women’s resources and competences.

• Women who only have employment issues

• Women with language barriers and employment issues

• Women with social, cultural, and/or family issues
Our solution-oriented approach is carried by an ambition of developing the qualifications and competences of the citizen. The expectation is that integration citizens knowledge and connection to the labour market is improved. This happens simultaneously with the Danish cultural norms and values are integrated into their daily lives to minimize cultural clashes.

With clarification of competences and needs as a starting point, we expect that integration citizens achieve professional, linguistic, and personal development, as well as better tools for finding solutions. The model is successful because of the individual modifications of the courses, considering the needs and situation of the citizen. The practical part of the course is based on pedagogical educational methods and happens at a pace where everyone can participate. It will help solve eventual problems and improve the integration of the citizen on the labour market.
To maintain the high participant satisfaction and ensure successful results, the educational level of the participants is evaluated both theoretically and practically. Subsequently, the level is re-evaluated both midway and at the end of the project. This is done through written tests and progress measurements, which indicate the educational level at the beginning, as well as the development by the 2nd and 3rd test. KHRS make quantitative measurements based on the tests and use these to examine the strengths and weaknesses of our participants.

As the course ends, the participants give constructive feedback on the subjects, so they can express what they want repeated. KHRS uses the participants’ evaluation of the courses to improve and quality assure the educational level of the courses.
